Wonder World
,
Just South of Gympie, Queensland, a Dutch Australian decided to create a theme park beside Highway One.
He called it “Wonder World” and it would feature scale models made with concrete of famous European landmarks.
I can imagine his joy when, with invited guests, he cut the ribbon and he was open for business. I can also imagine the slow realisation, as the traffic passed by, that it wasn’t going to work.
